2. Narrow arterioles and venules (small arteries and veins) in the eye may predict the overall condition of your cardiovascular disease.
- Wider eye venules doubled the risk of death from coronary heart disease in men and woman aged 49 to 75.
- Narrower arterioles are associated with a 50 percent greater risk of death in women of the same age group.
