I Am Sharing A Touching Video About Juvenile Diabetes

Manny at Tu Diabetes.com had a video posted last week that left me in tears. It is a short “film” that shows just how stronjdrf.jpgg the children and families that live with juvenile diabetes are every day of their lives. Diabetes is something that they treat but can never cure. For a child, it becomes the norm. But that makes it no less scary, overwhelming and encompassing.

It is titled, “A Cure For Tera Dawn”. Please go check it out. My 3 girls and I were watching this on Saturday morning with tears rolling down our faces. My eldest asked, “Kids can get it too. They have to take needles and do all that stuff like grown up’s”? I could only say “yes”.

It just made me think that whatever I have weathered with my own diabetes is nothing compared to this little girl. She is so strong ,just like all the other children that deal with this disease every day of their precious lives! It makes you stop and think, that is for sure.
