I Am That Dumb

Not fifteen minutes ago Kerri and I finish watching a movie, Gone Baby Gone, which we both enjoy.
Not ten minutes ago she asks me if I want to watch some of the special features with her, which she begins after I say no.
Not five minutes ago I grab the guitar, look up some Damien Rice tab and start playing… loudly… as she’s in the next room trying to watch the special features.
Not more than one minute ago she asks me, “For real, what were you thinking?” to which I can only reply, “I wasn’t.”
Yeah, sometimes I am that dumb.

I don’t know if it’s that we’re dumb, or if we’re just, um, “limited” in our thinking ability. It’s like we can only think about one thing at a time, and usually it’s set to default to think about ourselves.
Got a great story on this in the comments on my website after the post “About Her Laundry.” Pretty funny.
A Husband

It must be a man gene, because my husband answers that way a lot. LOL!
Hilarious! (because that kind of thing happens here all the time.)
At least you didn’t use the excuse that it’s “because your a guy”. I really hate that one, haha!
Sounds like something my fiancee would do, for sure. And then act as if he didn’t know it would bother me! Haha.
Ladies,
Thanks for all the support. I only hope you can take comfort in Kerri’s pain. None of you are alone in this.
