I Would Rather Be Bald Than….

I would rather be bald than have to maintain (not to mention carry around) all of this hair. The women in this picture, are the famed Sutherland Sisters. The “Seven Wonder Sisters” climbed to great-ish amounts of fame in the late 1800’s when they were singers with the Barnum and Bailey circus.
I really hope their stylist was paid a fortune. If you want to know more about these sisters (including stats about their hair) go here via neatorama (and picture source).
By the way, these women were involved in the making and selling (perhaps only selling) of a hair tonic.

you obviously dont have long hair. i do and its really easy. and not heavy
I prefer waist-long hair on women. Such a length is not too impractical to manage and not too heavy and the hair reveals its full beauty. I also like it, if the lady wears her hair in braids or in a bun – there are so many possibilities for long hair…
But if the lady likes it longer, why not – it’s far better than those too many so-called fashionable short-hair-cuts or a bald head. Too many women do not see, that such styles are most times a disfiguration…
i have 72.5 inches of hair and it is not that much trouble. it brushes the floor when it’s damp. i absolutely love it and so does many other people.
You obviously have never had long hair. It is actually easier to deal with than short hair on certain people. I am native american. By nature my hair is almost as thick as horse hair strands and having short hair makes it look gaudy and huge. I’ve had both short and long and long is so much better. So long as I keep it clean, healthy, and cut it once a month it suits me well. I never let it grow into a hideous V in the back and leave it just above the waist. It’s like black glass thank you very much and all I’ve ever gotten are compliments. =)
Hair is nasty anyways. I’m glad I shaved my head bald.
