If “They” Were Hurting Others?

Would you go out of your way, impose your will, to expose a poison in A.A.? I mean talk it up wherever, whenever I can. Let it be known out loud!
Feels like I’m about to but I’m looking for feedback first. Yes, it is personal. This person, as I’ve just discovered, is actually after my job and has done a rather decent job of swaying our sick Al-Anon boss to his favor. Check this out…
“How do people get ahead in the workplace? One way seems to be by making their subordinates miserable, according to a study released Friday.”
That’s only one way. Another is to out and out steal sales from others and promote “your numbers” to your superior.
I’m working with an AA liar and an Al-Anon liar. Wonderful stuff. Not.
Soooo – what Step do you recommend? Experience? BTW – this is not the first time (nor will it be the last probably) that I’ve had extreme challenges with other AA fellows. The last time it was MUCH more personal!

On the BUSINESS end:
A.A. and business seem like two different situations altogether. One is driven by profit (taking), the other is driven by service (giving). I’ve worked with other members of the program and I’ve worked for other members of the program. There is a big difference between the company’s motives, mission statement, or objective and the principles guiding the individuals, or guiding the fellowship.
Do you think this might be why the service structure is set up the way it is? AAWS, AAGrapevine … board members, trustees, etc.
On the PERSONAL end:
I have never had good luck working with or for other members of A.A. The relationships have all made a “shift” of some kind, once money was introduced into the picture. We’ve all managed to maintain strong A.A. friendships, where we continue to work next to each other in service, but never again with money. With any form of compensation (money usually), there are expectations from the employer which can seemingly get way off track spiritually.
That said… I have a new employer now. My job is to fit myself to be of maximum service to god and those about me. This is my new suit of armor for the ‘job’ situation. If I can remember this, I’m looking to see what I can pack into life, my job, my co-workers jobs and lives, rather that what I can get out of it. If I’m actually doing this and I still get “edged out” or put down, I believe that’s life telling me that I would be more useful somewhere else.
He provided what we needed so long as we stuck close to Him and performed His work well. trust god, clean house, help others.
You have many wonderful talents and I’m extremely grateful that you have this blog.
John
Thanks John… seriously, thanks.
I’ve just begun working on another method of working on my thinking in order to find a way out of this “job” rut and make better use of these “talents” you see. We’ll find out shortly, I believe, because I’ve already seen some results.
