Illinois mother charged with attempted murder of disabled daughter

The four-year-old daughter of Kellie A. Waremburg of Pekin, Indiana, is not autistic—she has cerebral palsy. But I am mentioning her on Autism Vox because the little girl’s mother is being held in the Tazewell County Jail and has been “booked on charges of attempted murder/intent to kill/injure and aggravated battery of a child,” according to today’s Peoria Journal-Star.
Karen McCarron, the doctor who killed her autistic three-year-old daughter Katherine McCarron on May 13th, is also a resident of Tazewell County.
And I also cannot help thinking of the mother on the Autism Every Day video who talked about driving off the George Washington Bridge with her autistic daughter……
I think it’s some kind of anti-differently-abled toxin in the water spuring parents to hurt their kids.
This is awful.
This attempted murder was in Illinois, not Indiana, in fact the little girl is being treated in the same hospital in which Katie McCarron was born. They have a good staff there and I pray the little girl will make it.
Thanks, Mike, we used to live in St. Louis and did many drives from Missouri to the East Coast—-I should have my geography down better, at the least.
I’m more than glad the little girl is in a good hospital—-praying here too.
I wrote to the author. Again. Told her she might want to answer my questions via email because she doesn’t want to deal with them on the phone (I have That Tone Of Voice. And can be window-shakingly loud). So. Uh. Yeah.
