Patti and I have been exchanging comments about how to best get a plain paper or photo paper image transfer to work properly. One of the conclusions Patti came to is that it’s not an exact science by any means! It can take a lot of experimenting and a lot of tries to end up with an image that you like, but OH, when it does work…
Patti was gracious to allow me to share the results of her recent experiments:
You can read Patti’s thoughts about the piece on her blog, Treasure Barn. The original post with instructions for image transfers using acrylic medium is here.

Cyndi, I am so hoonored that you posted my transfer! Thanks so much, I really am looking forward to learning from you. I have posted about this on my blog and I have added your link.
Thanks again

It’s a lovely example, Patti! Thanks so much for letting me share it with everyone
thank for good tutorial, it is work for me, but like all beginers i have a question. if you have to put image on real paper of your work and then we have to use water,-it is mean that my card, originaly card or peace of paper will be really wet. i understand that we have to leave paper for dry, but after this my paper began be “scroll”, so what to do? thank you.
Hi Marina! I know what you mean about the curling or scrolling that you get after the paper has been wet. If the paper doesn’t flatten back out on its own when it dries, I sometimes will put it between pieces of parchment paper and iron it on low heat!
