thanks for the tips, &lt;strong&gt;foodcrazee&lt;/strong&gt;!  i actually toasted (in the micro) and tasted the &lt;i&gt;ikan bilis&lt;/i&gt; first and it wasn&#039;t as salty as i thought it was going to be.  i&#039;ll do what you suggest though and use that oil -- that&#039;s prudent and economical!</description>

		<description>It will be nice if yuo soaked the ikan bilis first to rid as much salt as possible. Then used the same oil to fried the ikan bilis as your oil to sauteed other ingredient. Get more flavour out of the anchovies. Another tip will be scramble an egg first before addingother ingredient, so your rice wont stick to the wok or pan.
