Immune System Wanted

I feel horrible.

Between the falling, the flu (I decided to rename the remnants of mono as “the flu”) and now the most horrible cold on the planet…I have had quite enough of this. I need an immune system….I need one RIGHT NOW!!!!

Think I can find one on ebay?

This totally bites.

Hmm… I’d lend you mine but it’s pretty useless too.

I assume you’re doing lots of other things to try and boost your immune system, but maybe try and get hold of an oil burner and some essential oils. It might not help, but who knows, it might and it won’t hurt. My faves for when I am sick are bergamot, lavender, eucayltptus, and tea tree. A few drops of one or a couple of these floating on a little water will produce yummy smells and maybe, just maybe, support your tired immune system little. Just make sure you get “pure essential oil” not “fragrant oil”.

I hope you’re feeling better soon, it sounds like you’ve had a terrible run the last few months and you really deserve some good health NOW!!

    Thanks Ellie.

At the moment I am not doing a whole lot, except sipping chicken soup ~ minus the chicken…which means i guess thats just soup :) and whinging.

I used to have a really big problem with essential oils (not so much now though), so usually when I feel lousy, I don’t think of using them. But its a good idea. I think I will try that tonight. Somewhere I have some lavender oil tucked away.

Thanks for the great suggestion. Its always appreciated.

  1. [...] A few days ago, I wrote about how I have yet another illness….this time the heinous cold/flu thats been floating around, and I had not had much in the way of relief. Nor did I know how to go about getting myself to feel better. That is until I read < ahref=”http://cfssquared.com/2006/10/18/immune-system-wanted/”>Ellie’s brilliant comment about aromatherapy. I am cautious about aromatherapy (at least doing it myself) because I don’t know a whole lot about it, and scented oils and other products were part of the onset of CFS for me….I will tell you about that on another day – lets just say that the scent of vanilla does terrible terrible things to me even now.
