In My DNA
Inspired by Paul Andrews, who thinks people should stop saying “in my DNA,” here are some recent blog entries that say exactly that.
From Canyon of Heroes:
I just wanted to show you that I’m a “Real Yankee Fan” and that I have as much irrational 162-game mania in my DNA as everyone else.
From Confessional Highway:
We are a dying breed, I am warned, as if I didn’t know that, as if I thought forever lived in my DNA. Well, maybe it does. In my DNA. But in this case that indicates that my DNA isn’t really me because while my DNA can live forever, I cannot.
From KAZ:
In spite of the millions of reasons for hating Tories, it’s not an objective thing with me. It’s embedded in my DNA – lodged snugly in the double helix.
From Si Says Hi:
Sports. Genetically encoded in my DNA. Ask my wife.
From Spatula Forum:
I’ve listened to Peter Gabriel’s “So” so many times that each beat feels imprinted in my DNA.
I think it’s kind of cute how people have taken to DNA. But then again, a love of genetics is in my DNA.
