Comments on: Inaccurate DNA Test Results

I am an adult child who was recently tested to determine if the father I have known about for the last 20 years is really my biological father. His parents wanted it done for legal purposes and to “start including me as part of the family.” My mother and I went to one LabCorp and my father’s parents went to another LabCorp (my father was unable to test as urgently as the family was requesting). Needless to say, the test came back that they are not my grandparents and he is not my father. I have looked over the results a million times and I match at least one grandparent on 11 out of 13 areas. I have the same blood type as my dad (my mom’s is different) and she swears he is my father. This has caused a lot of pain. My dad and I decided to test the system and bought a home kit at Walgreens last week. We performed the test at his house and I placed it in the mail so we both know that no one tampered with it prior to reaching the lab. I am awaiting the results now. I will check back once I get them and let you know what happens. This was a horrible experience for me and I can only hope that the new lab is able to confirm he is my dad and we can go on continuing our lives. He wants to be my dad and was happy not taking a test all these years. Because his family is wealthy, they pushed for the test so they could include or exclude me from inheritance. People suck….and innocent people suffer because of it. I wish you all luck in your challenges with the dna system.

i recently had a dna test to prove i am not the father of my grandson they took bucal swabs from myself and my grandson but refused to test his mother my step daughter the test came back with a match on all 13 strands with a double match on 5 of them as my daughter was 100 miles away when she concieved i refuse to believe the results expecially since there has never been any type of sexual contact between us to make matters worse they now think i am the bio father of my step daughter even tho i was over 1000 miles away for 3 years surounding her conception i truely feel lab corp has messed up the dna but the court refuses to have a new test done by an outside lab

Dee, I have gone through Identigene. The guy I thought was the father was not, so I had all guys tested that I was with that year, and they were all negative, which leads me to believe that something went wrong.

Hi, i was wondering if anybody had any updates. It is so hard to function because I know that the first guy is the dad. My baby look so much like the first guy. Do anyone have any updates? Please help me. I keep coming on here to look for some ray of hope. Have anyone gotten an second guy tested?

Does anyone have any information about identigene? I too has a child who looks just like her father and Identigene gave him 0.1% and I dont believe it. I can relate to a lot of your stories. After a man is given that type of news he teats you like your nothing and makes you feel like a liar and so low of yourself even though you know your telling the truth and that isnt enough for him. This man is destroying my self-esteem and its killing me. Does anyone know where the court DNA tests are sent. I hope they’re accurate…

well only you know if you slept with anyone else, if you did then it’s not his if you didn’t then the test is wrong but it sounds like you did.

Ladies I have the answer you have been waiting for, please please call me day or night my number is 858-232-2968. My daughter was tested through the county of san diego in 2003 and her test came back that my boyfriend mike was not the father and i knew this couldn’t be true, but his family had convinced him i was cheating and not to have anything to do with me. So there was nothing I could do until my grandma got sick a couple years later and passed away and he was very close with her and he came to the funeral and say my daughter and started saying he wanted to take another test cause she looked like him and he wanted us to work things out. I ended up getting pregnant shortly after we started dating and as soon he found out that I was pregnant again he bolted fearing the baby wouldn’t be his again well a dna test was once again done through san diego county in 2007 and dylan my son was infact his. When we compared my daughters test to my son’s test we noticed the same 13 genetic markers were used to test for parentage and that mikes dna was different on both forms which is impossible because your dna doesnt change over the course of your life. And when we compared my daughters dna to my mikes,it matched perfectly to all thirteen markers. Well I brought this to the countys attention and they resubmitted the dna to labcorp and they still had my daughters sample from 2003 and ran that against mikes new dna from my sons test and it was a match. I have filed a law suit calming neglegence on labcorps part. For 6 years my daughter has not known who her father was and now we finally know that I wasnt lying and that I wasnt sleeping around. Please call me i can put you in contact with my lawyer and tell you my story and get you started on fixing this mess. I have been where you guys are and I would love to help other victems of this terrible tragidy.

I guess Lab Corp wasn’t the best choice for none of us. I had a DNA test done with this guy. First, he kept putting off the test. Then a month after my son and I tested he finally got tested. When the results came in the envelope was address to the wrong person. The picture of the father was not visible. And my son and him had 11 matching numbers, but the results they say are 0%. I know who I was with and he looks just like him. If you put their pics side by side my son looks more like him than me. What is a girl to do? I’m trying to get an attorney but can’t find anyone to take my case without coughing up a whole lot of money.
