Incriminating DNA on Victim’s Chin
Remember when I suggested a couple of weeks ago that you should do anything within your power to get a sample of your assailant’s DNA so that s/he can be caught? Back then I was amazed that DNA under your fingernails from scratching someone would be enough to incriminate, but this finding takes it to another level.
A spot of DNA on the chin of Denice Fox’s severed head is not hers and may belong to the man charged with killing and dismembering her, Nassau prosecutors say.
Prosecutors are also analyzing blood found on defendant Evan Marshall’s sneakers and on a mop handle found at the victim’s house. Results are not available yet.
I wonder how they found that DNA on her chin. Forensic science is amazing.
