Water is very much abundant and it is important that we do take care of it and we also do make sure that we use it wisely. As a power source, water is very efficient and quite clean too. This is probably the very reason behind the creation of the cooperation of the Jaiprakash Hydro Power with the Power Grid Corporation of India. Together, they would be creating the Karcham Wangtoo Hydroelectric Project which is estimated to have the capacity to enhance 1000 MW.

At present, only the transmission system is being created but soon enough, the whole plant would be built and would be functioning to provide the much needed clean power and energy. Such pieces of information has been reported by one of India’s sources of business information, Business Line.

It would not be surprising if this becomes a real successful project. Business Line also did further divulge that Jaiprakash Hydro Power would be holding 74% equity and the rest would be held by the Power Grid Corp.
