Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
It’s been 19 years since Sean Connery yelled, “Junior!” (or, “Joon-yah!”) to Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
But, in May, 2008, Indy is back in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
While there are many “old” jokes out there about Harrison Ford, who is approaching age 70, none made me laugh more than Ford’s own joke.
Sean Connery won’t be reprising his role as Professor Henry Jones, Indiana’s father. In an interview, Harrison Ford said:
“But as I told Sean, I’m getting old enough to play my own father, so we don’t need him anymore.”
But, I don’t think that age matters here.
The Indiana Jones character is so passionate about archeology, you wouldn’t expect him to retire, you’d expect him to continue on with his career, and, Ford is ready willing and able to play him, so, what’s with all the age fuss?
I love these movies, and, I’m looking forward to seeing it.
