Inner and Outer Beauty

Beauty is only skin deep. Never judge a book by it’s cover. These are phrases we’ve all heard, but do we really think about what they mean?  It’s what’s inside that counts??

Actually, according to YOU: Being Beautiful, The Owner’s Manual to Inner and Outer Beauty, by Dr. Michael F. Roizen and Dr. Mehmet C. Oz, it is what on the inside that counts. If you take care of you inner health, your physical, and emotional health, it will show on your outside as well.  An attractive person is strong, flexible, and happy.

The doctors explain that they are three levels of beauty: looking beautiful, feeling beautiful, and being beautiful. To achieve your full beauty potential, you begin with tests (Yes, tests) to evaluate where you stand and where you want to be.  Then, you use the advice in the book to improve your test score.

Beauty school?  Sounds like it, doesn’t it?  The lesson - take care of yourself and you will feel and look better.

Here’s an excerpt from the book:

INTRODUCTION

For those of you who think beauty is about mirrors, makeup, and how many pudding packs you have to sacrifice to fit into your skinny jeans, then pull up a chair, postpone your top-of-the-hour Botox appointment, and hear this. Beauty isn’t some vapid and superficial pursuit that exists solely to sell products, wag tongues, and produce drool. Beauty is actually precisely perceived, purposeful, and rooted more in hard science than in abstract and random opinion. From the time we started prancing around the world with our body-hair parkas and leafy lingerie, evolution has pushed us to be more beautiful. And that’s why beauty serves as the foundation for our feelings, our happiness, and our existence. In fact, beauty doesn’t reflect our vanity as much as it does our humanity.

Beauty — dear appearance-obsessed friend — is health.

Now for something unrelated to dating……. There’s a giveaway going on over at Veggie Chic.  If you like free stuff - and who doesn’t – then click on over and give a try.

well.. I’m single 27 female.. I have many questions about inner beauty.. one of my friend ask me that i have outer beauty but my inner beauty was hide… I’m very sad to hear that so that I want to know how to show my inner beauty.. could you help me please?

  2. Well, your inner beauty would be your personality. A person who is beautiful on the inside would be kind, gracious, generous, confident, loving, you know – all that good stuff. I’d say that the best way to show your inner beauty would be to smile at people and show, through your actions, that you care about other people.

Did that answer your question at all?
