Just so you know … I’m not the only one in the blog-o-sphere focused on National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I wanted to give you a taste of some other blogs out there talking about October in a pink ribbon way.
Be forewarned … these aren’t all breast cancer blogs … some of them are cool as beans other topic blogs that you might find you’ll have to read regularly. But these links will take you to their NBCAM post so you’re bound to see some familiar things out there.

- pelf-ism is contagious: you have been warned … not sure what that means, however, but the blog is fun
- On The Banks of Stony Creek: Enjoying a simple life as a wife, daughter, nurse and frugal shopper
- If Mom Says OK: ‘I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant’ (way too deep for me but it might speak to you)

This October, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, do something that will really help save lives—contribute only to health charities that don’t fund inhumane, irrelevant animal experiments. Many strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, but even more still needs to be accomplished. We are focused on encouraging women to take charge of their own breast health, by practicing regular self-breast exams, making sure to schedule an annual mammogram, adhering to prescribed treatment and knowing the facts about recurrence.
