Intractable Pain Patient’s Handbook for Survival

August 17, 2008 by Marijke Durning, RN

Intractable pain is pain that is difficult to manage – something that is frustrating for both the patient and the treating doctor. It can be caused by any type of pain, including arthritis, headache, back pain, even bunions

Dr. Forest Tennant has written a workbook specifically for people who are living with intractable pain, regardless of the cause. According to the information available, the book reviews how to discuss your pain with your doctor, insurance company, and any other people who need to know. Dr. Tennant also discusses different options for treatment.

The good news is that this 35-page book is available for free download. Click here to download the PDF version of the book, Intractable Pain Patient’s Handbook for Survival.
