Is it the colds or the flu?

My daughter is suffering from what could be colds… maybe it’s the cold season, or maybe it’s allergies… maybe it could be something else. Like they were reading my mind, the editors of BabyCenter sent me a link that answers if toddler is just catching the occasional cold or if she has the flu already.
It seems to be a tricky diagnosis. If my daughter has runny nose, with mucus that turns green or yellow, has a cough and congestion, and maybe a low-grade fever – then it’s COLDS.
But if symptoms are a high fever, with diarrhea or vomiting, then it could be VIRAL.
If the symptoms include itchy, watery eyes and nose and sneezing repeatedly, then it could be ALLERGIES.
When do I call the doctor? Can I give her home remedies? Over the counter medicine perhaps? Read the rest of Baby Center’s article here to answer these and more questions.
