Is my kid too sick to send to school?

This week is one of those insanely busy weeks. I have just about every second scheduled on my to-do list. Truman goes to preschool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so I was already looking forward to a productive day Wednesday. Truman had slept in a bit in the morning – no surprise as we had friends over the night before and he got to bed late. He woke up happy and all was right in the world until, just minutes before we were to leave the house, he folded over and started wailing that his head hurt and his belly ached. He dashed over to the sink (I would have preferred the toilet) and threw up a wad of mucus. (I know, TMI) and then laid down on the couch and complained of being cold and miserable. So I kept him home. And then, miraculously, less than an hour later he was all better. He danced around the house and ate like a horse and climbed on me like I was playground equipment. Not even Spongebob could entertain him enough to allow me much work time. I should have sent him to school after all.
Ever have one of those days when you just aren’t sure if you should send your borderline sick kid to school? Check out Parenting’s tips to help you decide, “Is My Child Too Sick for School?” I sure wish I had thought to check it out this morning!
