You may want to call this new parking meter some kind of a high technology gadget. After all, this is going to be the very first parking meter in the entire world to get power from the sun. Plus, this parking meter can send SMS as well. You think I’m kidding?
Well, this is entirely true. And the coastal town of Sussex in Eastbourne in the UK is going to be where these solar-powered parking meters will first make its service debut. The parking meter comes with very own SIM card. Not that you can send SMS with the parking meter for a certain fee. You see, the SIM card works so as to send SMS to the main office of these parking meters when the machine is already filled up with coins or when someone tries to take the coins inside.
This is mighty interesting if you ask me. I wonder when people will come up with a parking meter that can speak and maybe even have a debate with you.
