It Is So Hard To Always Make “Good” Choices

Okay, here is a little personal reflection if you will. I want some chocolate like it is going out of style. I am so darn hungry for some “junk” right now. My hubby and I are sitting here watching the first game of the NFL season and all I can think is, “chocolate cheesecake”. Thank goodness we have nothing like that in the house at the moment or I would be in trouble.

treats.jpgDon’t you have self control you ask? Yes, I had self control 2 days ago when everyone at work ordered treats from a local baker and gulped down sugary, sweet and yummy Starbucks beverages on the house. And I had all the control in the world last night at a training session for work when there was candy, cookies, scones, cakes and cheesecake (and y’all know what cheesecake does to me) with yummy coffee’s from that devilish Starbucks. Why can’t they just get black coffee and let us add to taste? I know, because then it wouldn’t be yummy or treat like.

Oh boy, I will fight the urge tonight. Well actually to be honest, like I said, there is nothing over the top “good” here anyway! I will go cut up a half of an apple and spread on some low carb p.b. and call it a night. But you know what? I am so going to drink a Diet Coke! That’s right, take that diabetes!!!

  1. Oh, do I know where you are coming from. My husband’s secretary sent home a can of home baked chocolate goodies AND butter tarts. I broke off one little corner of the chocolate treats and then felt guilty as hell. The Butter Tarts I’m sure are there as a test. The apple and peanut butter… haven’t tried that yet.

  2. I hear ya. We actually each ate 1, yes 1, Hershey kiss this morning at work. We had someone hide the rest of the bag so we could not cheat. I think it was a good solution to the choc craving! I wish I could program my brain to not want sweets but that just isn’t going to happen. Oh well. Thanks for your comment! Have a good one!
