It looks like I am a huge supporter of pads!

A few weeks ago I posted on knee pads and how they can really help you and save you a lot of pain when you have to complete a project that requires you to be on your knees a lot.
One set of pads I never thought about using until Friday night was elbow pads. To me this post is kind of stupid but I guess I just want to really focus on how important it is to always think about safety before you start something, and what I mean by stupid is the fact that I got hurt, again buy something I never would of thought of and I am kind of embarrassed about it.
Friday I was relocating my dryer vent at home to suite a new dryer we were getting. I had to increase the size of the vent as the old dryer vent was to small. To do this I had to use a pry bar to remove the old vent that went through the concrete wall first. While prying down in order to get the old vent lose the weirdest thing happened. The pry bar slipped and my elbow ended up smacking the corner edge of a 2×4. 3 hours later I was at the hospital getting ex rays done because I could not move my arm.
Fortunately, there was no broken bones but instead a bruised nerve. Which might take up to 2 months to heal. It has been 2 days since this happened and I am still in shock that a small, little 5 minuet job almost broke my arm which is why once again I am stressing to all of you that before you start any project at home make sure you look at the area your working in and take the right steps in protecting yourself, as it can be the smallest thing that takes you down.
