That is certainly an option. We live in a town that bans discharging a firearm in city limits. That in mind I got some subsonic .22 cal. LR rounds from a friend. A flintlock or percussion pistol or rifle could also fill the bill. Problem there in Dallas County, the fire marshall has a ban on possession of black powder any where in the county. I don’t like pyrodex or Triple Seven smokeless substitutes. Very unreliable in a flintlock. That’s why folks who use traditional muzzle loaders hate flintlocks. But that’s definitely a different subject. It also makes me want to spend more time at a gun range.

It may come down to execution and making of coonskin hats. Matt would love that.

Sounds like it’s time to just start killing raccoons. (Sorry if that’s insensitive, but seriously, something has to give – there are only so many hours in a day!) I hope you guys get things figured out. That sounds really, really hard.

Marc, can I say how much I appreciate your giving up on driving? It is a hard thing to do, but you are putting so many at risk including yourself if you are driving.

Hang in there Marye…It is a season. things will lighten up in the future.

Seems to me the college student needs to be driving. Marc could be the one to sit in the car while he practices.

One thing I have learned since the time when all 9 kids were home and I spent my days dropping two college kids all over the county (one had clinicals at two different hospitals for nursing school), dealing with OT and PT for David plus orthopedic and neurology visits ( he has mild cerebral palsy) having days start at 5:00 am and end at 11:00pm with no break with a newborn in the midst of all that driving…. is that it is to my benefit to get teens driving as soon as I am able regardless of the cost. My sanity is worth every penny.

I was a day..but I did NOT lose it…I did get all of my articles written, as well as blogs…and I am on my way to bed…before 2 a.m…
His mercies are new every morning..which is a good thing because I think they have been depleted for today.
