It’s Living With Pain blog carnival time again

Welcome to October’s edition of Living With Pain blog carnival.

I had some interesting submissions this month. Unfortunately, some weren’t even remotely connected to pain so they had to be deleted. If you know people who have blogs about pain, please encourage them to become part of this blog carnival – it’s a great way to get more readers.

Carole Gold presents Life and Death posted at McKay Today, saying, "What a not-so-common house cat can teach us about living with pain."

Dean Moyer presents Mysterious Morning Neck Pain posted at The Back Pain Blog, saying, "In this post we review the various ways to apply heat therapy for temporary relief of back and neck pain."

Marlene Gundlach presents Living with Fibromyalgia | Fibromyalgia Advice posted at Fibromyalgia Advice, saying, "Tips on living day-to-day with fibromyalgia."

Grace Young presents No Power Lifting! posted at Grace R Young OT, saying, "Improper lifting can cause or increase damage and pain to the joints."

Jimson Lee presents Copper, Magnetic and Titanium Bracelets – PhysioBalm posted at Speedendurance.com, saying, "Can Copper and other heavy metals treat pain?"

Ellen Schnakenberg presents Treating Opioid side-effects with a new/old drug – WEGO Health posted at Ellen Schnakenberg’s Posts – WEGO Health, saying, "Living with pain almost invariably means the trial of an opioid pain killing drug at some point in time. Many people find success with this treatment, others don’t. Some find success in the treatment, but side-effects are so severe that treatment is discontinued. The patient is forced to seek other methods to control the pain or live with debilitating effects of a treatment that is supposed to help them. Sometimes with success, sometimes not. This article talks about a brand new drug to help the side-effects associated with opioid therapy. Based on a very well-known medication with a long history, this might be the answer for many."

And that’s it for this month. Please feel free to submit your blog article on pain-related issues to the next edition of living with pain using the carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
