Jack-O-Lantern Homes

With Halloween quickly approaching it’s time to get your pumpkin game on. Now you could do a simple jack-o-lantern home like this:

But while neat and a great offbeat home idea you won’t be wowing the pants off anyone with this baby. What you need is something with a bit more punch.

And a lot of orange and black paint!

Or heck, why not use the real thing to build a house.

With smart architectural planning you don’t even need pumpkins or orange paint to create the perfect jack-o-lantern home.

You should however attempt to get the shape correct when building a jack-o-lantern home. Like these folks.

In the winter this home looks frosted!

If all else fails you can photoshop yourself a house like this Pretend Pumpkin House from Worth 1000. Fake but oddly livable and no doubt pumpkin coolness redefined.

More pumpkin and Halloween house fun to come!

Don’t forget to play…

  1. I want me a fake pumpkin house! It really is, despite being fake, quite appealing.

Don’t know where you find this stuff. But now, thanks to you, I’m craving pumpkin pie.

I will dutifully eat my fruit salad and hard boiled egg and whole wheat muffin for breakfast–all the time thinking of pumpkinny pie goodness. Sigh.

Hey now, pumpkin pie is healthy! Pumpkins have all sorts of nutritional benefits (that’s more a your blog than mine deal) You could make it with whole wheat crust and less sugar; use low-fat whipped cream. I make great pumpkin pie — although, much less healthy usually than the more healthy version above :( Pumpkin is the only pie or cake item Cedar will eat so it must be good!
