no way this is hospital food! That tray would be found in nicer Japanese restaurants here.
But congratulations to you and your wife for a baby boy that will grow up enjoying the best that Japan will offer.

Congratulations ! I remember my hospital meals at the maternity ward. Can’t say it was fantastic neither can I say it was bad. I have to say the Japanese hospital has a beautiful way of presenting their meals. It sure is appetizing.

Tom! I’m SOOOO envious. Although I’ve always loved hospital food (even here in the US — anything not prepared by me personally brings a certain excitement; even applesauce in a plastic bowl), it’s obviously nothing compared to Japanese hospital food. Wow! That almost looks like the Japanese room-service meal we had at one of the top hotels in NYC.

Oh, and sneaky you, with the baby bit thrown in there. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE. I hope you’ll post pics sometime at the b5forum at least…
