Jennifer Garner confirms what we already knew

One of my favorite celebrity moms ever, Jennifer Garner (you can guess my other favorite celeb mom) has been noticeably pregnant for awhile now, but she never officially confirmed it. Aside from her expanding belly, she was also spotted house hunting for a larger home with her husband, Ben Affleck. All signs pointed to the obvious.

Now, Jennifer has finally confirmed the pregnancy. She was speaking to a Los Angeles newspaper today for the 10th anniversary of Baby Einstein. She was asked if she has any upcoming projects and she responding by pointing at her middle and saying, “This!” with a big smile.

Some people get annoyed when celebrities don’t confess to being pregnant when we can all tell, but I disagree. It’s not uncommon for people to avoid telling people about a pregnancy during the first trimester when the risk of miscarriage is higher; as hard as losing a baby is, imagine how much harder it would be to go through that in the giant spotlight of Hollywood? No thanks. I’ll never forget the day I was scrolling through a celeb site and saw pictures of Lilly Allen looking lost and depressed because she had just had a miscarriage and wasn’t even able to grieve in peace.

I wonder if Jen and Ben will have another girl like big sister Violet Affleck or if it will be a little boy. I love babies so much that I even get excited over celebrity pregnancies!
