Jiff Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest

jiffIs peanut butter healthy? I suppose it depends on whom you ask. The creamy kid’s staple certainly has a lot of protein and it’s a good alternate to repeated meals of red meat. However, it’s best used in moderation (like everything else) due to its substantial fat content (although US brands do not contain trans-fat.)

To make creating peanut butter treats fun, Jif–”America’s Favorite Peanut Butter”–is hosting a contest for kids 6-12 to create their own peanut butter sandwich treat. The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 scholarship fund to help pay for college. Four runners-up will each receive a $2500 scholarship fund. All five finalists will win a trip to New York City for the live judging event.

Entries will be accepted from now until November 14, 2008. For more information and the entry form, visit the Jif Web site.
