Jobs and Teens

Does your teen have a part-time job? There are two schools of thought when it comes to jobs – for and against. I think jobs at this age are great. Now matter how much you teach them about time and money management a job is a hands-on lesson. Obviously if it interferes with school work hours should be limited but if their grades are good, they are involved in activities and still have multiple hours to spend chatting with friends or watching TV it might be time to send them off to look for a job.

Jobs are very educational, you learn how to fill out an application, how to prepare for an interview and how to conduct yourself in an adult environment. These are all valuable skills needed in the college application process and beyond.

What kind of job? The Teenagers Guide to the Real World has some great information about jobs for teens.

I am desperately looking for a part-time job and I was hoping an employer that happens to scan through sees my request. If so can you please send me an email with any job openings or findings because I am willing to work and I am willing to work HARD.
