June is Potty Training Awareness Month

Yes, odd as it may seem, June is Potty Training Awareness Month (as if wee need awareness month for potty training).

Kimberly-Clark, the makers of Pull-Ups, has teamed up with Melissa Joan Hart and her two year old, Mason, to chronicle his potty training success during the months of June and July at Pull-Ups.com via a video diary.

I don’t know about you but Pull-Ups were not out key to success when it came to potty training. AJ saw Pull-Ups as an extension to a diaper and if he needed to use them he could. So, we created “Travel Pants” for him.

Inside the house he wore Big Boy Underwear, underwear that he helped pick out at the store; Cars, Spiderman, and Thomas the Train. If we went somewhere of he went to Preschool he wore Travel Pants (aka: Pull-Ups) in case he had an accident. He was, however, required to go potty before we left, when he got to the place we were going, before we left the other place, and when we got home. You know…just in case.

He didn’t need an awareness month to train him…he just needed his mama, Thomas, Spidey, and Mater.

Stay tuned for more information on potty this month.
