Junk Creation IS Productive!!!

I had a suggestion, last week, that I should post a list of explanations junk creators can give their spouses or significant others that would convey some use to their odd passtime.
When s/he asks you what you think you’re accomplishing by making new stuff from junk, just answer:
- “I’m saving money.”
- “I could be collecting shoes (or tools)…”
- “I’m participating in a creative act, which unites me with the original Creation, since it hasn’t stopped–yet.”
- “I’m working on a sort of complex jigsaw puzzle. Think of it as a hobby, only with, like, 30,000 pieces?”
- “I’m making the world safer for those seagulls (you can fill in any sort of animal/plant here) at the landfill.”
- “I’m taking out my frustration on inanimate objects–be glad I’m working with them.“
- “I’d rather not say–so don’t ask”
- “What junk? I don’t see any junk here. I’ve just finished combing through the rough parts and found something cool.”
As with any of my lists, please feel free to add any other comments you see important.

#6. Oh yes, #6.
Great list!
Thanks–perhaps I should have been a bit more sarcastic with the others, but I thought the slight bite to #6 would at least give a good reason for the more persistent significant other…
