Just who IS “Ana”, anyway?

How do you picture “Ana”, that mythical woman whose siren song encourages men and women around the planet to starve themselves (or eliminate their food in most unpleasant ways)?
I’m guessing that every person who has suffered from an eating disorder has a different image of Ana in his or her mind. For me, she’s not really in focus, but is a shadowy sort of figure. Her hair is jet black and her voice is husky. She’s very dark and mysterious. My Ana can be soothing one minute and downright vicious the next. She’s changeable, angry… but always feminine in a grotesque, extreme sort of way.
My particular “Ana” is tall (something I’m not.) She wears a lovely long black dress and has a necklace. Though I’ve never seen her face, I know her eyebrows are very arched.
Strange, huh?
