Kate Middleton’s Precious Genes
Unlike Maricar over at Merry Royals, I don’t pay much attention to kings, queens, princes, and princesses. But The Sunday Times Focus on Kate Middleton, Prince William’s beloved, mentioned her genes not once, but twice!
Kate is what we need, providing a much-needed injection of glamour, that breath of fresh heir for the royal gene pool.
And alluding to diseases of inbreeding, e.g. hemophilia*, that is part of many royal family trees:
According to [Christopher Wilson, the royal biographer], her genes make for the “most fascinating mix” — which is a polite genealogical way of saying that her antecedents are humble. She is not handicapped by inbred aristocratic blood or by a childhood blighted by parental divorce. “Her intermingled bloodline will bring more than anyone else who has ever married into the royal family,” he said.
All most people probably care about is whether their kids are going to be cute or not. But everybody knows that my son is the cutest. 
*As it turns out, inbreeding doesn’t have much to do with hemophilia, an X-linked disease. (More at The Straight Dope.)

Actually, I think Kate makes a splendid partner for Wills with her poise and reserve, though I do wonder if the reverse may be true.
Some factions still prefer the Archduchess Maria Laura.
as much I don’t want to say it right now because for some reason she got on my nerves I love Kate Middleton and I think she is a goood person. I know she will never let the people down and she will always be there for His Royal Highness Prince William, just that alone is good enough for me. There is so much more about her that I have not said. All I know is I hope to see her in good spirtes all the time. I love you Kate as if you where all ready the Queen of England. I pray you always keep that close to your heart. I know you will never let us down, I guess you can say I have a lot of faith in you and I always will.
