Keep It In The Day

I heard this first from Fr. Martin;
Sanskrit Proverb
Look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life,
In its brief course lies all
The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth,
The splendor of action,
The glory of power.
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived,
Makes every yesterday
A dream of happiness
And every tomorrow
A vision of hope.
Look well, therefore,
To this day.
There is one undeniable fact about my past, I can’t change it. There is one undeniable fact about my future, I have one, I just don’t know how long it will be.
I can commend my past to the mercy of God. I can commend my future to the providence of God.
Work the 12 Steps of recovery into your life and you’ll regain your self-respect. Having done that, if someone else won’t give you respect – that’s their problem!
Thank you Fr. Martin!
