Keep Your Dog Cool

Is your dog cool? I’m not talking about knowing tricks or having a swank dog collar. The My Dog is Cool Campaign by the United Animal Nations (UAN) aims to prevent dogs and other pets from dying in hot cars this summer.

Yes, animals still die cruel deaths inside cars each year. Their owners don’t do it on purpose either.
“People mean well by taking their dogs or other animals along with them while they work, visit, shop or run errands, but warm weather can turn a car into a death trap,” warns Nicole Forsyth, UAN President and CEO.
According to a Stanford University test, when it’s 72 degrees outside, a car’s internal temperature can reach 116 degrees within an hour, even with windows cracked!
MyDogIsCool.com is a free resource to help you spread the word about the dangers of leaving dogs in cars during warm weather. You’ll find:
• “It’s hot!” fliers you can leave on a windshield if you see a dog unattended inside a car
• Weather forecasting tools
• “Hot temperature warning” posters that can be hung in store windows
In addition to warm weather concerns, please be aware that dogs and other pets can easily be stolen if left unattended in public places.

Hi,
I don’t have dog (but i have cat) but i really care for animal. I think people who do not care for their pets should not acquire them. If they want to have pets they should treat them as they care for their children. tq.
