Keep Your Kids Safe During A Fire

So, I posted this at Tree Hugging Family, but I doubt all of you cross over all my blogs, so I’ll post it here too.

This is some super frightening news, but you need to see it, especially if you have kids. I actually don’t doubt this story at all. True story: In NM a huge truck ran into the apartment below mine (no joke) at 1am or so. Half the wall broke down, sirens came, tons of people yelling outside, and the drunk guy driving the truck was screaming obscenities. No one could sleep for hours.

My son, who was four at the time, slept through the entire deal.

I’ve heard of this before. My kids, too, sleep like a rock – even through a hurricane (we live in Houston). I heard that most kids will always wake up when they hear their name spoken. If you need an alarm to wake the kids, hook it up to a voice recorder and have it play back your voice loudly calling their name. They will wake up.

That’s what the video says (about the voice alarm), but you need the special deal to hook one up to the fire alarm.
