Want to live a long and happy life? Stay involved in social activity. A new study said that socially active seniors had better mental outlook and even walked at a faster clip than those who weren’t around people so much. The socially “active ranked in the top 10% in gait speed, while those who shunned social activities were in the bottom 10%.”

Social activity includes everything from spending time at restaurant or sporting events with friends, playing bingo, and even attending church.
