Kickass Kids’ Books Week.

KKBWInspired by my daughter’s exploding bookshelves, I have decided that this week is Kickass Kids’ Books Week. This week, I will showcase nothing but children’s books – classics, new ones, award-winning ones, funny ones, sad ones…you name it, I’ll review it.

My Granny's PurseTo start the ball rolling, here’s today’s Kickass Kids’ Book – PH Hanson’s My Granny’s Purse. This sturdy interactive board book offers an interesting peek inside a granny’s purse, which is filled to overflowing with stuff. This granny’s so cool she keeps spanners and screwdrivers (because she believes in being prepared for anything) alongside beloved family pictures, letters, chunky rings and leopard-print glasses. And she even has a cooler point of view than Mom about things like chocolate and candy! This is one book that kids and grannies of all ages will have fun reading together.
