I’m really excited about October for Kids Health Notes. One of the best ways that this blog can serve you is to help your families’ health by encouraging the use of eco-friendly products in our homes. Less chemicals in our cleaners mean less hazard for our children.
‘Sides, it’s Kids Health Notes’ First Anniversary last month, so I want to start the new year with cleaner, greener, and healthier families for our readers.
I’m giving away three products that have been parent-tested and parent-approved, so you know they really work.
- Universal Stone all-purpose cream based cleaner. It’s certified green and made in Europe.
- Seventh Generation cleaning products.
- Ringley Teether. This a wooden and organic cloth teething ring that parents and infants love!
So, who’s up for it? Here’s how to join.
Answer this in the comment: What is one household chore you really love to do?
- One entry per person per day.
- It’s open to residents of the US only.
- Contest ends 11:59 midnight EST on October 12, 2008 (Sunday). Three winners will be randomly chosen and announced via blog and email the week after.
- If a winner does not reply within 3 days, he/she forfeits her winnings and an alternate entry will be chosen.
- REMINDER #1 : In previous contests, I have had several winners forfeited for failure to reply to my emails. Please make sure your settings don’t put my email into the junk folder, otherwise you’ll have no idea you won. Better yet, please check this blog for the winners’ list after the contest ends. Best bet, come back often and stay a reader!
- REMINDER #2: Only entries with legit answers will be included in the draw. There are good reasons I ask these questions in Kids Health Notes. Actually, only a few forget to answer the questions, but I really want to include all commenters into the contest, so just take note of that when you join. And as always, I appreciate the conversation. Have fun here!
UPDATE: This contest is now closed.

Great giveaway! My favorite chore is laundry, by far. I always pass on the dishes to my husband! Thanks!
i like to do laundry, but not so fond of other household chores!
Spraying the house with lavender order spray to make the house have a clean smell!
I like to have clean windows to see out of.
cleaning out the fridge
Cleaning doorknobs!
love doing dishes
Cooking/baking
cleaning something really dirty and seeing the difference. thanks for the contest.
none, lol, but cooking isn’t so bad…or maybe vacuuming. (as long as the kid and dog aren’t in my way)…
I like to vacuum.
Mopping
I love to cook!
I like to vacuum!
I actually love to wash clothes!
I also love vacuuming, because it usually means someone has taken my kids out of the house. My daughter is scared of the vacuum cleaner!
i love to clean my counters, i love when all the surfaces in my house are clean and shiny and dust free. I hate dust. I really hate folding clothes too. But I enjoy seeing tall stacks of clean, folded laundry.
I love to do laundry and hang it outdoors to dry…I also love to spend a lot of time cooking a meal!
cooking
Yes taking out the garbage is fun – plus it is exercise!
House hold chores are something I have a hard time enjoying…especially dishes!
i love doing laundry. Even though it is a three step process i don’t consider it a chore. The first two steps require very little work on my behalf. the last part, the folding and putting away part is cathartic. I turn on the jams and sing or i work out issues from earlier that week.
I love feeding my family, so cooking and baking is the chore I like best.
Laundry with my new Ge High Profile washer and dryer that I recently won.
I enjoy doing the laundry. I love the clean fresh scent of the clothes after they have been washed and dried.
vaccuming
I love making the bed.
I love cleaning either the kitchen or the bathroom. They are not clean before, and clean and beautiful after. The rest of the house only looks dirty when it is dirty, but only looks ‘right’ when it is cleaned
If I dont have time to do all over clean – I do the 15 minute clean. My daughter thinks its a game, and a great way to get her to pick up random objects around the house. We each get a basket and see how many items we can get in the basket that need to be put away! ITS GREAT!
I like to vacuum
I really enjoy laundry, well the folding part.
i love haging out laundry im not sure why
Love doing laundry,
I like to do laundry
Organizing is my favorite
I like laundry!!!
I don’t really love any household chores, but doing dishes actually relaxes me. Something about warm water and suds I guess.
I really dont like doing any household chore, but I like the final results.
We are pregnant and want to switch to green products this would be wonderful. I LOVE to vacuuming! I love the straight lines in the carpet!
i love any thing free if it helps me clean its better
I love washing clothes!
I love emptying the dishwasher. Something about the clinking of clean dishes..!
i love sorting and organizing my grandbaby Hannah’s room and clothes….
dusting
Straightening the place, then dusting and vacuuming. It looks so fresh and pretty then!
dont really like any chores, but washing the dishes for two takes about 5 min or less by hand
i love a clean house
I do not get to do it enough, but i love to organize the house.
I love to bake! I forgot how much until I made pumpkin muffins this morning.
I love mowing the lawn. Just putting on a pair of head phones and pushing the lawn mower I am able to let any frustration go. Its therapy for me!
