I could definitely use a break. I am a wife, mother, volunteer at my son's school all the time and I also work full time in Special Education with autistic children.

Children are so special! It is so important to show them that we love them and accept them for who they are. It is also important for them to know that God made all us beautiful, unique, and has given each of us a special gift. Yes, it is so true. Children look at television, books, ads, hear relatives talk about how pretty, perhaps, one of their other siblings are based on skin tone, hair length, or etc., thinness, causing not only the other ones to have a broken heart and keeping it internal (hidden pain); but also making the other child who they rave about feel they are important boosting their self esteem. The other child may revert to rebelliousness which could lead into criminal or immoral practices, and worse, drug and/or alcohol use, to hide the pain when older. The more we show them as children that we love them and accept them for who they are, verbally, emotionally, spiritually. I like what your doll represents and I guarantee you, every little girl, will cherish it and remember the kind words of encouragement that came along with it for the rest of their lives. My daughter is heavy set and short for her age; and is caught up in the thinness hype around her causing her to feel ugly or wanting to be like everyone else but herself. I am truly working on it; but this doll is the only thing missing........I hope I win!
