Kindergarten

kindergarten.jpgMy little one is growing up so fast. He left this morning, confident and excited, on a bus that traveled all the way across town to his new kindergarten class. And last night I was thinking he was too immature to handle it.

When do they grow up? I mean, we are here with them every day. We don’t miss a hiccup but somehow we miss inches.

Thanks to my friend Stephanie at Adventures in Babywearing for the great photo tip…always catalog the year and grade in the picture, not on the back on the printed photo (because you lose those). Right now my mother is frantically trying to go through all of our photos and put dates on them but she can’t remember what year they are. This is a great (and cute) way to do it.

seriously, how cute is that boy?? I hope he had a GREAT day! I love the idea of a sign with the year–very helpful!!

  2. Oh, he IS a cutie- and so grown up!

Thanks ladies! I just noticed how bad our stairs look too! UGH. I am in the process of painting them and they look horrible!

  4. My Wife writes the date and event on the back of the pictures as soon as we have them developed, but that’s a great idea. Our daughter is already 4 but it seems like only yesterday she was born, the time does go much too fast. Only a week and she will be starting school full time, which seems much too soon.
