King Pharmaceutical’s Super Bowl Heart Commercial

In case you missed it, here’s the American Heart Association and King Pharmaceuticals Beat Your Risk Super Bowl commercial that I mentioned last week.
The Wall Street Journal (subscription only) doesn’t seem to be too optimistic about the ad’s success at least in terms of its direct and immediate benefit for King. However, expectations are that consumers will see the ad and be motivated to ask their doctors about ways to prevent high blood pressure. So you could almost say that it’s an altruistic ad buy for both patients and all drug companies to promote hypertension awareness and antihypertensive use.
