Kirstie Alley Gains 83 Pounds

I feel for Kirstie Alley. It’s hard enough to gain a bunch of weight, but to do it in the public eye has to be difficult. Kirstie has been candid and honest about her weight gain in People. It’s especially painful to see because she had gotten down to 143, a very healthy weight for someone of her height (5′8″).

She lost all that weight from being a spokesperson for Jenny Craig. But when she parted ways with the company in January of 2008, she banished all the great stuff she did while she was with them. She stopped eating smaller portions and exercising.

I give Kirstie credit for coming forward about this. If we’ve learned anything from her, it’s that weight loss is a difficult thing and sometimes it takes falling off the wagon a couple times to get yourself back on track.
