Kitten Born with Two Faces

Such a sad story — I almost didn’t post it.
The kitten, which lived to be three days old, was born in Midvale, Australia. The little fellow had four eyes, two noses and two mouths – all identical, plus only one brain.
This male kitten was never named. The caretakers feared it would not survive, and they were correct. Kitty was taken home from the vet’s office to die near its mother after fluid filled the lungs. He died on November 22.
According to The West Australian, the two-face deformity is rare, but occurred last year in Arizona. That kitten, Lil’Bit, survived longer, and may even be alive today.
Thanks to Jennifer for the head’s up on this story.
Can you think of a good name for this kitten? I still think it’s sad he wasn’t named.

This is way too sad. I’ll have to come back and leave a comment on a happier kitty post. Maybe one that has monkeys in it too!
Well, sad post or not, you’re the first ever commenter at The Kitty Blog! Congrats, even though I don’t have a prize to give you : )
