I had a cat which loved melon so much it would jump up on the kitchen worktops to steal a piece. Really loved it & would gorge on it given the chance. Never seemed to do him any harm. He also liked raisins & anything with raisins in like mince pies & christmas fruit cake. I have read subsequently that raisins are poisinous to dogs so probably cats should not eat them ... although never seemed to harm my cat. My dogs are obsessed with apples & pears & would practically mug you for apple core.

No clue why I felt the need to come see this, but you're right, adorable, and a little odd. My aunts cats love canned pumpkin so much that they come running if they hear the can opener. Her vet said it's good for their digestive track.
