For the third time since 2004, Knoxville, Tennessee has had bad rep of being the MOST CHALLENGING PLACE TO LIVE WITH ASTHMA in the U.S.
The city ranked #1 in 2004 and in 2005, and now again in 2008, because of several factors –
- higher-than-average annual pollen count
- high pollution
- lack of any public smoking bans
- high use of asthma “rescue” medications per patient
