L.A. Celebrates Earth Day

In Los Angeles, California, people there celebrated Earth Day last Tuesday. And with Los Angeles being known for having quite a fun-loving culture had done their celebrations with quite a number of various events. The list of happenings includes musical performances that were free to watch for anyone interested, as well as a festival which caused the officials of the city to close down one street in the center of the city. They called the whole celebration “Earth Day LA/Car Free Day 2008 in Los Angeles”.
Musical events were attended by great performers like Chris Pierce (singer), Michael Franti (singer), Daryl Hannah (actor and environmental activist), and Esai Morales (actor and environmental activist). Those who were not interested in the parties and concert could be able to take a look at the various booths that were set up which held everything and anything that was related to the environment and to Earth Day.
