Lacking on Energy? I am.

970603_wild_flower_of_north_italy_21 I have been soooooooooo sleepy this week.  Between the after effects of a week partying with the b5media youngsters in Austin, and my usual misery that is March allergies (but I am so glad things are getting green around here!), I have really been miserable this week.  I have gone to bed early every night (even 8:30 one night – that is unheard of for me!), and taken a short cat nap nearly every afternoon.  So what is wrong with me?

1.  Allergies.  They zap your energy.  March is typically a terrible month for me, something is blooming that gives me migraines and the only answer to those is drugs and sleep.  I’m really trying to stay on top of it this year by taking my daily allergy meds and it has helped, but the last 3 or so days have gotten almost unbearable.  What to do?

2.  Supplements – I have gotten out of the habit of taking my daily vitamin regime.  I recently replaced my regime with a multivitamin (man, that is less expensive than what I was doing before), but I still supplement that with a few things that support weight loss and good skin (cause you know I’m all about good skin!):  Coenzyme Q-10, L-Carnitine, B-vitamin complex, Selenium.  I must get back on that routine – tomorrow.

3.  Dehydration – very simple, too much coffee, not enough water.  I feel like my body is running on coffee rather than its own energy – this cannot be good.

4.  Lack of exercise – lack of exercise produces a person who doesn’t want to exercise.  Simple as that.  I bought a passel of plants yesterday, tomorrow I vow to get them into the ground.  Probably not as good as a jog down the road, but surely better than sitting on my butt here in the office.

Anything else you can think of that might be bringing me down – or better yet might bring me back up again?  I am really looking forward to a weekend of sleeping in and big afternoon naps, but I really think that isn’t going to solve the problem.

Yes to all four. Okay where do I start?

    I am ready.

  2. What I totally need is a project that makes me neck tingle and me shoulders flex!! A real eye-opening stampede of a task… got any?

I remember how boring spring training in football was in Houston. The Temperature was always muy caliente, and the breeze gone by the time we hit the field at mid-afternoon.

If only I could ride a horse, and go shoot some photos, and get some well water… maybe that is the ticket to Spring Fever, no?
Yours, Pat again… on the content!

  3. Okay, I also quit with the Diet Pepsi/Coke cola syndrome,,, I think that those drinks sap more than energy.. I heard once that H. Hefnerd drank 15+ Diet colas a day… well he is a nervous nanny type.

Don’t want to be like him, no way. But it is progress, I think the stuff in Diet colas is actually the stuff in medication used as “laxatives for post operation heart patients,” my Doctor said .

Patrick – I need a new wing on my house – that should make your neck tingle and your shoulders flex nicely. When can you start? :)

Um – if horses, photos and well water made me feel good, I wouldnt be feeling bad, but if you think it will help, I know where you can get all of that. You and Marinell missed the bluebonnets. :(

I’m with you on the diet sodas. My fat problem is milk. Man, I love milk – a lot. Especially chocolate milk. Ugh.
