Two police officers, both officers, male and female, are equal in every way – or are they? They work the same  hours, do the same work, and live with the difficulties of the job. And yet, are they really equal? Not according to the latest news out of New Jersey and Detroit.

The Workplace Prof Blog has written about how two pregnant police officers were not permitted to go on to light duty while men who may be restricted because of illness can be reassigned: More Pregnancy Discrimination news.
