Let’s Needlepoint

From the time I was a child I wanted to do needlepoint. My mother did seat covers for our dining room chairs. I thought that was really something cool so I asked her to teach me. She said she couldn’t because she was left handed and I was right handed! Her project got finished and I soon forgot about wanting to do needlepoint.

Years later I saw a very pretty needlepoint that a friend had done and I remembered my mother’s project. I decided to teach myself – so I did. My first project had sort of a messy back. You know, the back is supposed to look as good as the front. I studied what I had done and started another project. It was not as difficult as I thought.

So – if you’ve admired needlepoint and want to try it – just do it! It’s fun and creative.

Here’s an excellent needlepoint site.
